London Stone are continually looking to improve the quality of the goods and services we provide. We are currently in negotiations with our Indian partners to further improve the quality of our Indian sandstone paving. There are many different grades of stone quality available on the market. London Stone only supply first grade quality, however we are looking to further improve the quality of the stone we provide. We are now working with our suppliers to initiate an evern more rigorous quality control prior to packaging. While this will increase our costs it sits in line with our policy of continued improvement. We are taking delivery of a large consigment of this new and improved material towards the end of September and based upon the feedback we recieve from our clients we will be looking to roll this out across our complete product range for 2011

SET YOUR VISION IN STONE
New products are always exciting. Today we are taking delivery of our latest new product, its called Moleanos limestone. One of the most fun aspects of natural stone is bringing in new products. However it often takes some time before the new products start to sell on a regular basis. The result is that cash flow can sometimes be affected by bringing in new products, however this is all part and parcel of building any business whether you supply natural stone or newspapers.
It will be interesting to see how the “David Clegg” combination works. Having Vince Cable in the treasury has got to be a good thing. One major flaw of our political system is the lack of people with real life experience operating in the upper echelons of the system. Cable has held down some impressive positions in his time, the most notable being chief economist for Shell Oil.
Just looked out of the window and seen that a waggon of York stone slab has jus arrived from our suppliers in the North. Time for a quality check!
Best regards
Just returned from a weekend in Barcelona. Was over there with my father and two brothers and business partners to watch the Grand Prix. I have never been the biggest Grand Prix fan but I am definately on the way to being converted. From the city of Barcelona, to the qualifying, to the plane formation show and finally to the race itself was great fun. Prices were a little on the expensive side but overall the whole package was well worth the outlay.
We had a bit of a shock when we found that the icelandic volcanoes were back up to there old tricks but luckily we didnt get stuck for too long.
Election day is coming tomorrow and the whole country waits with baited breath for the outcome. Have Labour have finally run out of steam? Come Friday morning will we have a Tory government in place? It is looking more and more likely that we will be having a Tory government come the weekend but thats what we also thought with labour in 1992 when John Major managed to cling onto power for one last stint. A stint that really paved(pardon the obvious pun) the way for labours dominance of the last 13 years.
I would imagine that its been a tough decision for a lot of people to make. Its very hard to disagree with the statement that Gordon Brown has run out of steam. As well as lacking the support of his own party he seems to have, equally as worriengly lost the support of his own conviction.
On the other hand you get the feeling that people dont quite trust David Cameron and if you are going to vote for somebody to lead your country then most people who are not quite sure will take the safer option and stick to what they know.
As a business who imports 90% of our natural stone the current situation is making buisness tough. The weak pound is making imports expensive which means that our costs are being pushed up all the time.
Gordon clinging to power for another term, in a perverse sort of way could be an absolute disaster for the labour party. It will certainly lead to a power srtuggle within the labour party sometime in the next 1-2 years, if not sooner. Would the British people forgive the labour party for foisting on to them another unelected leader? I think the answer to that question is no and labour would pay a heavy price for that. Labour have managed to squeeze at least 13 years of power out of the discontent felt towards the Tory party. Imagine what the Tories could squeeze out if they got it right?
